HOW NATIONAL DELIVERY WORKS

A national booking is simple and quick to arrange. Just follow the steps below:

1. Choose your equipment.
2. Email or call us with your requirements, holiday destination and dates. Book early if you can to avoid disappointment, although we understand that this is not always possible.
3. Customers staying in holiday rentals may need to make alternative arrangements for delivery. Please discuss this with us when you book. While we are able to deliver to the majority of rented holiday cottages, occasionally due to location and courier restrictions it may not always be possible for us to do so. Please contact us to discuss your requirements before you book.
4. Please take a few minutes to read our Terms & Conditions.
5. Once your order value has been confirmed we will email you an invoice. You can pay by cheque, credit/debit card or PayPal, one of the safest and simplest online payment methods available.
6. DEPOSITS – We charge a deposit on all national deliveries equal to the value of your order rounded up or down to the nearest £5. For example, if your order comes to £33.80, your deposit will be £35.00. If your order comes to £22.00, your deposit will be £20.00. Your deposit will be refunded as soon as the equipment you have hired is back with us. (Our customers are not held responsible for any equipment which is lost or damaged by our own drivers or third party couriers).
7. Once your payment has been received, we will confirm your order by email.
8. The equipment you have ordered will be waiting for you when you arrive at your holiday destination.

When it’s time to leave simply pack your equipment back up in the box it arrived in, make sure the open ends of the boxes are well taped up, stick on our return address label provided with your items and return to the reception of your holiday accommodation. Our courier will then arrive to pick up your boxes. It’s as simple as that ! In many cases Holiday Buggies will collect and deliver to you directly, and if this is the case then we look forward to meeting you in person !

Prices shown are for delivery and collection, not just one way. If the delivery charge shown is £15, that is all you pay. We charge for delivery only. Collection is free. All UK couriers delivery charges take into account parcel size, volume and weight. However, we have come up with a low cost solution to high delivery costs based upon the equipment that our customers hire most often. We use a sliding scale of delivery charges which takes into account the amount of equipment hired and the length of the hire period. We offer discounts on equipment for rentals of 2 weeks +.

Based upon what our customers hire most often, we have split our equipment into two groups; ‘primary’ items and ‘secondary’ items. Primary items are pushchairs, highchairs, travel cots and car seats. Secondary items are everything else. Our delivery charges are based upon a mix of primary and secondary items. Because of parcel size restrictions, one primary item will often take up one box. For example, if you were to order one double buggy and a Group 0-1 car seat, each item will need to have it’s own box. However, we don’t charge you double the delivery fee. You would pay £15 for delivery of your first box and £5 for delivery of the second box. Even with the combined cost of two, or even three boxes, our delivery charges remain far lower than the majority of other national hirers. And remember - you can add secondary items to your boxes too for no additional delivery charge. And some primary items can travel together - for example, a travel cot, highchair and booster seat can travel in the same box. Weight is rarely a problem, so you can add smaller ‘secondary’ items to your box and this will not increase the delivery charge. For example, you can add linen to your pushchair box, or toiletries, or a baby bouncer for example. Or you could add toys, a booster seat or a steriliser to your car seat box. It’s as simple as that !

We deliver throughout the UK, with the exception of destinations outside of the UK mainland. Delivery to hotels, guest houses, holiday parks and private homes is simple and quick to arrange. Delivery to rented holiday cottages involves a little more planning, so be sure to let us know your requirements in advance. And whether you are staying in a major city, a small village or a cottage by the sea we can help make your holiday that little bit more manageable, and make sure your little ones can enjoy all the comforts of home when they arrive !
